If it’s any consolation, once you get to the Berthoud exit, the express lane is open all the way to Fort Collins and the tolls are waived for the time being.

If I’m in jeep I usually take the back way through Longmont. Prettier drive and not as sketchy. Only ads about 15min

Mike are you trailering from Loveland? I’ve never left a trailer at Ted’s, there’s plenty of parking there, but it’s Larimer county, so if it doesn’t involve a Subaru, kayak or bicycle they might not let trailers park there unattended. I’ve never tried though. There is plenty of trailer parking at the trailhead.
