What did you do to your TJ today?

After a month of ownership I FINALLY broke out the upholstery cleaning gizmo and spent some time making my three seats a bit more aesthetically pleasing. The few visible stains came out without issue and surprisingly, lots of other surprising (gross) colors were extracted from various locations. Usually a deep interior cleaning is my first step when buying a used vehicle but I dragged my feet on this one since I’ve got so much else going on. Happy to be defunkified.

Looks like your drivers seat could use a new cushion.

Annual glass vendor bird hunt-

TJ for arriving in style- check out the power pole on my cage/sport bar. (Exactly what sport are they referring to?)

I heard an ad on the way over - “windmill hecerages encourages you to drinknresponsibly”. Exactly how fo you do that? I really wanna know.

One at a time. No two fisting.

Absolutely spot on. But my bills have been rolling in at a furious pace for the past few weeks. Summit cushions are on the to-do list, but I’m afraid that I won’t be spending any money on non-emergency items for a couple of months.

@AndyG , that is the cleanest rear windows I have EVER seen!! 🤣

Nothing exciting. Replaced all my lug nuts. Swapped my punctured tire with my spare. Ordered a new tire to replace it. Something punctured it and then immediately bent 90* and made the hole nonrepairable. The great news is that our son came over and we hung out for a couple of hours and enjoyed each other's company. My wife never smiles as radiantly as when our kids are around. Good times.

Also created a list of parts and made plans to spend some time wrenching.

As I am typing this, I am watching a Grand Wagoneer get destroyed in a tornado on the new Superman movie. I sure hope that was CGI.

Bolted on a cheap sh*ttybuilt bumper I picked up cheap, not really digging the look, think i want to go with some kind of stubby front bumper. Also pulled out the seats. One of the seat bolts required the blue wrench to be extracted. Maybe you can tell which one? The inside is beyond disgusting. The old Apex seats are pretty much destroyed. I pulled off the base brackets and the seats are probably going to find their way to the dump. The rear isn't horrible, so I may clean it up for the time being. Passenger seat isn't ripped, but it's gross. Drivers is completely blown out. It's sad, as they are the original Apex pumpkin seats. Oh well.

Finally got the Flux Offroad rocker guards installed. I was going for body color on the base plate and flat black for the scrub guards, but the green ended up a bit dark.
It was perfect.......then I put on the clear and watched them get darker right in front of my eyes. Oh well.

They are on now, and I love the added protection. I had taken a couple hits to the factory side steps and had some small dents in the tub, but it was only a matter of time before I did some real damage.

Ya, I also have a new leak I need to hunt down.

I'm so glad I don't have to do that BS. Hard to believe Indiana is more free than Virginia 😜

I'm just glad the inspection station guy knows me. In the past, I've had inspection stations look for reasons to fail me. Even decals on the windshield will fail you here in Va. He was shocked that I only drove the Jeep 453 miles since last years inspection.
