I hope summit keeps making new stuff for tj's. The seat foam and now this. Even if the joints are of dubious quality
I don't know, it says "Johnny Joint" style bushings. So no telling where they are getting them.....
Probably better than Metalcloak![]()

If someone is on a budget it looks like they could get these and then upgrade the joints later and still be ahead of some of the offbrand scenarios we see-
Your idea of "on a budget" is much different than mine.![]()

vs"Control Arms, Front Rear Top and Bottom for 1997-06 TJ/LJ with lift kits, Double Adjustable, Polyurethane Johnny Joint rod ends..."
"Forged steel Johnny Joint style rod ends for increased range of movement."
"Johnny Joint" is trademark of Currie, right? Did anyone ever figure out if the Summit control arms are real Johnny Joints or just JJ "style"?
The description on Summit's website confusingly calls them both.
vs
Maybe @Kevo1966 would know?
First clue I see is they are silver zinc instead of the gold zinc that Rock Jock uses."Johnny Joint" is trademark of Currie, right? Did anyone ever figure out if the Summit control arms are real Johnny Joints or just JJ "style"?

Is this a functional and not simply cosmetic difference? Better corrosion resistance?
I suspect it's more of a "we stole their design, and their name, and we're mass producing them with no repercussions".
I said it incorrectly. They aren't the same color. Is this a functional and not simply cosmetic difference? Better corrosion resistance?
