Installing Savvy control arms on stock TJ with no lift

Hello everyone I am going to be installing my 8 savvy arms in a week or so when time frees up . I have a 06 wrangler on stock lift for now and I'll eventually be doing a 4" rock jock lift . Does anyone have any tips and advice when installing them ? if I do one by one will I need to get an alignment after ? Also I don't see a write up for it so decided to make my own . New at installing these types of control arms so don't want to mess anything up .
 
If the new adjustable arms are replacing factory arms on to a TJ with a factory ride height, what lengths do you think the new adjustable arms should be?

Measure pinion angles before taking apart? Measure what you take off and put new arms to that length to start, set pinion angles with one upper and then adjust the second upper to fit? double check caster for the front and then square up measuring from skid plate bolts and from front to rear axel? Thats how I would go about it I think, I would use stock length as a starting point and go from there for proper angles without any binding?

Why do we care about pinion and caster angles if the ride height is not changing from the factory ride height?

just me but I would like to know what I had if it was working so I could get back to it or diagnose any issues that I happen to create installing new parts. I would think measuring 20 year old deformed bushings with may not be exact. If you back to the angles you had you should get the same handling/lack of vibration that you had. Just how I would do it if I was tackling the project, double check my work.

If we are going to do that, then there is the full how to thread in the How To section on setting up adjustable control arms. I don't disagree with going through the full process on an otherwise stock suspension. But at the same time, there is no need to complicate things when we already know what the OP would be doing if he simply bought factory arms.

When I went through this exercise my factory arm bushings were deformed 1/4” to 3/8” to what the stock specs listed. Good advice.

id love to see a how to thread from start to finish . I have all 8 savvy arms in the boxes ready to be assembled and put on so anything would help so I don't mess anything up . is it hard to mess anything up in the process of doing so or not really ?

If you're matching existing geometry, just pull one at a time, match the eye to eye length and call it good. The adjustments are when you're out of factory tolerances and are balancing the system again.

Just make sure to anti-seize the threads so the dissimilar metals don’t corrode. Otherwise it’s pretty straight forward. The end with the line engraved in it is the left hand thread side. The holes on the outside of the frame are not there by chance, you can reach the inside of the upper arm mounts with a socket and extension since you’ll be installing the new ones without flag nuts.

Why not wait until you install the lift?

So rather than just keep it simple, you and the other goofball want to shit up a basic process, why?

Are you trying to tell me that between the two of you there aren't enough brain cells and or common sense to find out the exact eye to eye lengths of a stock TJ control arms and just duplicate that, really?
 
I wrote that my stock bushings were deformed by varying amounts, you’re trying to tell me that you don’t have enough brain cells to deduct that I did in fact find the factory measurements to arrive at that conclusion?

I caught that part which is why I was wondering if you knew how far, then why the gymnastics and then the insistence to put others through the same misery? If you know the number, use it, fuck the rest.

I guess I should have trimmed down the quoted portion I was responding to instead of quoting the whole post, and I don't think I was insistent about anything. I was just agreeing with the not measuring what you have and going with it because, like I found, my existing measurements were off due to wear.
