What did you do to your TJ today?

The brake controller really surprised me. It was tucked up into the firewall harness next to the drivers left foot so it wasn’t even accessible. And since this Jeep has a tow capacity of only 2,000 Lbs. why the heck would anyone be towing anything requiring brakes anyway? Oh well. I am glad to clean this slate.

My 12ft Geopro tt is just inside of specs for towing with my tj and comes equipped with trailer brakes. It reduces wear on the tj brakes and gives a lot more control.

I'm in the middle of replacing the outer full door handles. Got the driver's side done and hope to start the passenger door when I get home this evening. I'll post more with pictures when I get done as I've seen a lot of misinformation out there on doing this.

Painted the MC aluminum corner armor, UCF aluminum doors, put wire end covers on the winch cables, spooled a new cable on the winch, and put a new trail cover on.

This Rain Gear cover is 1,000,000x better than Bestop's.

So the Rain Gear cover stores easier?

I will say that I think it will. The bag is about 1.5-2x bigger than the Bestop. Granted the material on the RG is heavier, I think it will fold into the bag better since it is bigger.

The RG also has A LOT better straps and no elastic.

Cool, when I need another that will be the one.

I could never get my RG back in its bag. I just use an Amazon canvas laundry bag. But the cover is great and I’ve abused the hell out of mine. Didn’t flip the top up or use any of the straps, and not my first time.

It seems like it can take a beating by the weight of it and how thick the material is. I do like the straps better than the Bestop elastic junk. It also comes down over the tub further than just the hook rail.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll get the TJ pool since I have the RockHard sport cage in the middle ;-).

My nit pick is the uncoated metal clips… not great for us shorter guys when tossing it over the side.

You paid for the name, not the quality. I haven't bought a "Bestop" in years because of their non USA production. That used to be their claim to fame.
I've learned that recently. The TrekTop I put on my JK was very tight to get the header bar to latch and had a small gap between the windshield header and header bar. Bestop said I mush have an issue with my windshield frame. No way I was convincing them that I had just taken a hard top off that didn't have the same issues.

I just wish there was a good quality soft top made in the US.
