What did you do to your TJ today?

After a number of years of changing my mind, back and forth many, many times on what lift kit to go with….i bought an OME 2 inch lift kit.
So it’s done ✅… no going back now.
Went with the light rating as I put my TJ on a diet ( rear seat delete, Ali bumpers , soft top etc)

Pick up the BMB 1.25 body lift while you’re stateside.

Changed the A/C Compressor clutch. The old one made horrible noises. My Jeep sounds much better.

The bearings in my compressor clutch are bad. I've been trying to remove the clutch for 3 days now, with no luck. Got the fan off, belt off, and removed the bolt on the front of the clutch, but the clutch won't come off. I've gone so far as to drive screwdrivers into it to try to pry it off, but no luck. How did you get yours off?

Will do… maybe some ‘ spring’ rolls 😂

I see what you did there. ;)

New guy here. I just picked up my ‘99 yesterday and wanted to subscribe to this thread. I figured the best way to do it was to post. Since picking it up I’ve inspected and cleaned just about everything that I could get to. Balanced and rotated tires then changed oil today. Rest of the fluids will get changed over the next week. It’s 102° here today so I’m pacing myself.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I unwound the birds nest of winch cable and rewound it by pulling to a solid post while the Jeep was in reverse. I don’t know if it really mattered but it’s nicer to look at and my OCD won’t keep me awake thinking about it.

Im struggling to believe you 🤣

Welcome to the forum.

Went on a wiring diet this morning. A non-functioning no-name stereo, a hidden (?) trailer brake controller and power relay, some sort of ancient alarm system with door lock actuators, a non-functioning aftermarket switch/power panel, and wiring that made no sense whatsoever all hit the garage floor.

And a picture for the doubter. 😂

The brake controller really surprised me. It was tucked up into the firewall harness next to the drivers left foot so it wasn’t even accessible. And since this Jeep has a tow capacity of only 2,000 Lbs. why the heck would anyone be towing anything requiring brakes anyway? Oh well. I am glad to clean this slate.

You never know... Theres a big group of guys that think towing way over capacity is a flex
