So would you do a 30' extension with eyes for me? Can you just add it to an order?

I can and will. I would rather not cut up a winch line. If you are not picky about color, I have several samples of line that would be more than suitable for an extension that I can use. Won't hurt my feelings to cut one of those up.

I need some idea of what you are after. I do agree with the recommendations above and you'd get more utility out of a kinetic strap. Won't hurt a thing to use that as an extension. You can hurt a winch line by using it as a tow line though. They don't like shock load. A kinetic strap or even kinetic rope will do more than be an extension and can still be an extension. I will however, be more than glad to supply what you need if I can in the way of a winch line extension.

Oh, I actually carry a 30' kinetic strap with me already, but I made the assumption that because of the stretch it would not work well for a static pull. That is really good to know! Sorry to have bugged you with this then. I have a cart all loaded up, so I will just place the order for the new rope and other goodies.

All that will happen is that the kinetic rope will stretch a bit before the Jeep moves. Your steel cable stretches a small amount, just not as much.

Sorta, I can't pack it until I have a shipping label so that gets printed and then I pack. It will go out tomorrow since they have all picked up today's shipments.

How long should a synthetic line last if it's well taken care of ? I think mine is about 8 years old or so, the jeep is kept in a garage so out of the sun 90% of the time. Its only used a time or two each year and I wash it out at the end of summer.

Truth right there. Packing all the gear needed for two people into a TJ is challenging to say the least. and re-packing it back into the TJ at the end of the weekend to get home is almost impossible!

Mine would look that way if I didn’t have an Unlimited and teardrop camper. I’m retired so I have plenty of time to play. Most of my trips are either 1 day in the local mountains or 4-5 day treks. Next journey in Aug is 5 days in the Sierra with about 200 of my boys .

Trust me, I am always looking, but prices sure have gone up in the last 5 years.

Yep 5 days camping on the Kern river with the Vituscan Missionaries. Wheeling all day party at night.
