The only time I ever had hood flutter was when the stock rubber on the latches had worn out.
Most with highline fenders though are installing hood pins.

Only time I have had hood flutter was on a 1984 Mustang GT with a 347 stroker in it. Hit about 130mph, the hood fluttered then flew open.
Talk about a shat the pants moment![]()
About 20 years or so ago, I watched a guy in a '67-'68 convertible Firebird have his hood fly open and demolish his windshield. It happened at a local drag strip on a test-n-tune night. He was absolutely terrified when he pulled back into the pits and loaded the car onto a trailer. It turned out that it was his wife's car, and she did know he had it out, much less at the drag strip. I think shittin' his pants was the least of his worries.![]()
Sadly, I don't think I've ever received a complete order from Savvy. Something is always missing, but they always follow up and get me the missing pieces. Bizarre.Turns out I was missing a couple hinges for the doors. Got with Gerald and he got them to me no problem.
...
I also noticed the new doors have what look to be better latches so I’m upgrading my other set with the new ones and replacing the cables. Gerald went above and beyond to help me with that.

It definitely would save them some money to do it right the first time, but I'm not sure they care.
How so?

I asked to buy the new ones with hardware kit to refurb my old doors. As I’m not sure if all of my old doors were original Savvy as some parts had been replaced by previous owners.
Gerald threw them in with the hinge shipment at no cost.
The original latches would have been Eberhard. They appear to not be available anymore. But I doubt Gerald sought out a nicer latch, rather available latches.
