Just so I understand, you're saying use a 1/4" ratchet and not in a drill?
If you read the description on Amazon it specifically says if using a drill it must have a torque limiting clutch.

Thanks! Sounds like a good solution to my problem - remove nutserts and mount to the armor. Appreciate the tips - This is definitely one of those 'only get 1 try to get it right' type jobs to avoid swiss cheesiing them so I want to be fully prepared walking in.
If so, how did you locate where to drill for the mounting holes? I have nutserts installed for mine and I've been thinking about how I'll locate then during the install to drill holes for them.
I think I need to trim the wheel wells to match the new flare
Can't recommend using something like this enough for the countersunk holes. Saw it in a forum search before I started and bought it, makes getting the holes lined up perfectly a breeze. Then if you need a nutsert (3 per side) just bump those holes up to 17/32"

Transfer screws! I used them when I built my transfer case skid plate, and mentioned them in my build thread last October.
Any brand recommendations for good nutsert/rivnut hardware? Also, have you ever worked with studserts/rivetstuds?
500 mile round trip for his jeep parts and he doesn't get 3 hours in and already zonked outhe is super excited though.

If you need to remove a studsert, what's the process?
OK, motor is pretty much prepped to go in. Since the motor came from a WJ and it uses different holes for the motor mounts I had to source a bottoming tap to clean up the holes. motor mounts are on the block, reman motorman fuel injectors installed with fuel rail with a schrader valve, plus the DEI heat reflector kit. I'll wrap the injectors once I check for leaks. I'm hoping to get the motor in place tomorrow.

I thought anything DEI isn't allowed anymore.
You're not even going to paint it? I thought you were serious about your engine performance. Just think of all the ducks you'd get at the next Suburban Jeep Club Meetup of Hot Singles in Your Area.
The interior refresh is nearly done. I love the BedRug. Installed the CalTrend seat covers. A new subwoofer speaker should arrive tomorrow and I can put the guts back in!
I’m thinking I might want to put some mats over the BedRug?
