Hey Jeep folks. Well, I wasn’t looking for a Jeep, but this popped up here locally for sale and it is already prepped to tow behind my motorhome, so I jumped on it.

It is a 2001 60th Anniversary Wrangler. Seems to be in decent condition with around 107,000 on the odometer. I’ll be going over all the systems and getting it in tip top shape. Prior owner said the AC “quit” so I’ll pursue that and see what I find.

But for right now I’m just gonna change ALL the fluids and clean it up!

I've been trying like heck to upload a pic, but the forum keeps erroring out.

Hopefully someone can fix that, I can share an image with y'all.

Maybe I just need to try smaller images? This worked.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm a little east of ya over the top of Snoqualmie.

If your pictures are too large they won't load. Take a screen shot of the message you're getting and we'll see if we can figure it out.

Yeah, took me a bit to figure out that apparently newer iPhones take GIGAbit sized photos!

Well, I made some room in the garage to get things checked out. It looks like this rig has the Dana44 with the trac-lok in the rear.

Need to pick up some gaskets and fluids and get things baselined.

There is a little bit of surface rust, but I think this rig spent most of its time in the western US.

OK showing off with the lift... Just not fair I'm telling ya....

Doesn't look too bad underneath...

LMAO. I regeared my FJ80 LandCruiser laying on my back in the mud outside my house. Once I saved up the money to build the shop a lift was an absolute necessity! 😎

When I had my house built it was my first so I was just learning... I'd change 1-2 things now if I was doing it again and a 12' shop ceiling would be #1....

A/C in my house would be #2...

We added a 3rd bay for a gym when we built ours and I wanted to add a little shop too but we just couldn't afford it at the time and it turns out it wouldn't have really worked with how we had to lay out house out on our property.

You don't have A/C over there!? I mean you're "in the hills" but it still gets crazy hot there. But I've gotten soft, when it hits 80 on the West side I'm looking for water! lol I don't know how I did it when we were in Moses Lake and I was out working in 100+ daily

When I bought this place it got maybe 100* here for 1-2 weeks in Aug but that was it so I didn't see the point for that short of a period and as I said I was new at this. It was my first home I was buying....
I'd lived in government housing my whole military career and then had rented a place.

I guess it's a good excuse to get out of the house and head for water or the mountains. Hopefully you've at least got some window/portable units or a mini-split.

Nope, still don't have A/C... Keep saying I'll buy some every year and then never do... But I survived in Iraq without any A/C.

The current house we built in 2002 and our builder talked us out of AC. “You live near the Sound, it never gets that hot! “

About two years later my wife insisted on a retrofit! 🤣

When I moved out here in 2010 from southwest Virginia, I couldn't believe that people didn't have AC.

80* and 30% humidity as opposed to 80* & 90% humidity at two totally different things...

I can't speak to this at all... I was a submarine guy and served in a constant 68 degree bubble

Damn a Bubble Head... I've got a few buddies who were Bubble Heads too... Takes a special breed of person...

Let us know when you're ready to take the Jeep out on some trails...
