Same here. Except mine was because of water pump failure. Came out of the local gas station and the LJ was marked her spot.
Ended up waisting $40 dollars of coolant because the thermostat slipped when. Bolting the housing. So half the coolant poured out.
Hopefully tomorrow I can run it and burp out any bubbles.
Question. Any tips for keeping the thermostat seated when bolting up the housing?
Inslulated the fuel rail a few weeks ago but was still getting a minor stumble at startup under the usual conditions, though not nearly as bad.
Today I did the injectors with the same material in hopes that the heat soak will be eliminated. I used a self sticking mat that was easy to cut and install, $20 from NAPA.

You are so right about LI. Lived in Blue Point for 5 yrs and watched my '78 CJ-7 rust away before my eyes. The very air is full of salt!
That there is funny..... I ordered 4 years ago.

As a guy who used to shoot paint and beat panels for a living......but that's no slag on your painter. Paint matches can be a real bitch, and when you understand how the manufacturer deals with it, the shitshow starts to make a bit more sense.
While I can't recall specific colors offhand (other than Ford's Vermilion Red from the late 80's), I do remember dealing with a few jobs where matching seemed impossible. At 80%, you couldn't even pull that off with a blend.
Edit: Looking at the full side shot of yours again, I'm not so sure he could have done much better. I wouldn't have thought he had any trouble finding a formula or matching it based on the results. And I still hate you for having the color. Sorry.![]()

Gonna use rivets to install Just have to find some.

I need to know what detailing products you use. Specifically for the deep matte black on the tires, flares and sorftop.. love it.
This particular one is advertised locally for free, so it definitely fits the budget.Checks the cheap affordability box,but you will have issue with things sliding I think.
