What did you do to your TJ today?

Worked on BB's front end today, thanks to @tnjeepguy for finding me the winch and thanks to @red02tj for finding me the remote!!!!

Go everything wired in, except the 250 amp mega fuse saving that for another time.

Was getting ready to install the WRG winch line when the rain moved in. So hopefully that will be done this weekend also.

looking good.

Been hearing a lowkey ssccchhhhh sound when coasting into a stop. It’s probably there while driving but I can’t hear it. Was thinking front wheel bearings, but hadn’t really had time to investigate. Then this morning I had a thought….

Yep, transfer case was basically dry. 🤣

I hadn’t checked it in a long time, but I haven’t really seen any drips since I rebuilt it all back in 2022. Added ~2 quarts, noise went away. 🤦‍♂️

It’s not really wanted to go into or out of 4-low without a fight, and it likes to pop out. I wonder if this was related.

I've been using wally world Michelin 8 dollar blades at $ 8.0 each and change them every 8 months .

Yea, I'm tired of that shit. If these last the "several years" as promised, I'll be very happy. I put a set on the MBZ about the same time I put these on the Jeep. The Jeep's (front) were completely shot, the MBZ's are still like new. We'll see how long they stay that way.

@Zorba has ducks!!!! What the heck, they must have on skirts......

Two of them are from my granddaughter, so they gotta stay. A third one is from "Jeepin' with Judd", complete with cowboy hat. The last one isn't a duck, its an Eagle from New Venture. They said that they "Don't give a duck, here's an Eagle instead!". :D

Granddaughters have a way like that!!!!!😍😍

Replaced RMS With a Mopar unit
Peep the AN Bung....handy for a turbo drain 😉
Can't wait for this 24 hour period to be over so I can drive it😁 And wash the living Sht out of the undercarriage cause it's dirty and greasy as hell man....it pisses me off I always had pride in having it clean so hopefully no more annoying RMS leak!!!

Decided to tackle the Jeep Air kit for the TJ. Definitely time consuming and wouldn't you know it each nut and bolt of course has a special surprise when you try to free it from its rusty home. Don't get me started on the plastic parts.

Hopefully that heater core wont fail on you.....its the original one but as long as theres no visual corrosion on the core itself you should be fine
Mines failed cause of corrosion, no cracks at the plastic to my surprise as i expected

What winch plate is that? How much did Betty's front end sag? (too personal?) 😬 I want to mount the winch I got free, but don't want to have to add spacers to lift the front back up.

I will be interested to see how they work , I tried some high dollar Bosch " Uniblade " type when I bought my used Tacoma . They were like $ 35.00 each , I was beyond pissed when the first one tore just above the wiping edge at 7 weeks . I put the old blade back on I left in the garage , 2 days later the same thing happened to the other Bosch. " Winter " type blades work well for me , but cost twice as much as the Michelin's .

I order mine from rock auto every fall and when I do it’s either a Trico or Anco. $3-5. Order for the whole fleet so it saves freight coming out of the same warehouse. One extra set for DD Jeep.

Which winch ? Syn line ? Winch plate too. Approx 80 lbs is going to have some effect, probably.

Warn M8k with syn line = 55 lbs
Warn HS9.5i with cable = 86 lbs
