Replace-a-Top Fit

The driver’s side latch is damn near impossible to get into place. Have to pull down and to the left on the header. I’m thinking I need to tweak this thing somehow. Ironically, the plastic tabs that clip into the door surround on the driver’s side seem loose.

Does the way the header sits on the front look normal?

Also, thoughts on the weird gap on the drivers side (photo below). I’m not sure if it is also there with the hard top installed.

I've always clamped the header first, before securing the back and sides, so that it lines up better.

Do that too. Still a struggle.

Only other thing I've found it that if the top is sitting in the sun, it's easier to get on since it's warm. Other than that, I've got nothing.

All good. Thanks. It seems like everything needs to shift to the dirver’s side. Not sure if that’s a thing or how to do it.
