What did you do to your TJ today?

Got my custom 3D printed panel from @Urban 3D in the mail a moment ago. The matte black color and texture look very nice, and the ABS should hold up well in the Florida heat. Pretty happy so far, just in time for a weekend install.

That is pretty badass, are the switches back-lit when not engaged? What other tab labels does it come with?

 Damn aftermarket security systems and the jack legs that install them....

Real men of genius moment?

Ran into an issue on my dad’s and I rebuild project. We are putting a 99 drivetrain (32RH Auto trans) on a 2003 frame and skid plate, the skid plate / trans mount were no where near close to aligning.

I took the 32RH mount and cut off the exhaust hanger, then I took the trans to trans mount plate from a 2006 6 speed manual and mated the two together. It worked perfectly!

Not sure about the backlighting, but once it's installed I can let you know! As for the labels, I paid a few bucks more for the extra sticker packet, but I don't really think I needed it. :ROFLMAO: It comes with the small sheet and the only thing I used off the extra sheet was the air compressor label.

So far, I've only got the two lights on the top left. Bottom row is planned installs. But you know what they say, if you want to make God laugh, pre-label your switch panel for upgrades you haven't purchased yet.

Pulled the console out of my LJ earlier to do some verification work. Some hours later I decided it wasn't going back in today, so proceeded to tidy up the forward part of the console so as to drive it. Just went out a few minutes ago to drive it, put it in gear....nothing. No gears. Brow furrows, ring puckers. Immediate horror thoughts of a dropped clutch or exploded NSG370.

Well...seems some asshole bumped the transfer case lever when dicking around with shit. I might be that asshole. 😀

I made an observation regarding the transfer case lever, it kind of sucks to move when you want to, but apparently will do so on its own without much persuasion. I now want the Savvy cable even more.

Another observation while driving Tess without the console, feels roomier inside and, hate to say it, but I think I like her better without. 😲

Switches are backlit all the time. The newer models of Auxbeam switch panels have an auto-dim feature that I really don't like. Having had one of the earlier versions that had a manual dimmer and now the auto dim version, I much prefer the earlier rendition.

I installed the Urban3D trim piece today. Really nice fit. Less intrusive than the previous custom 3D printed panel I had. That said, it is angled down just a little which is great if your need a little extra knuckle room on a manual but kind of unnecessary for me. CAT6/RJ45 on the left, USB-A/USB-C/Voltage on the right with the Auxbeam panel in the middle.

Camera angle is weird.. looks like the panel is tilted to the left but it isn't.. it's dead straight.

Looks very clean and matches your very clean and functional aesthetic. We have similar taste, I can tell because I've got the same RedlineGoods shift boot. :ROFLMAO:

Speaking of security systems, do you know if these additional pigtails would be for one that ties into the fuel system? My 99 harness has them towards the back but the other 99 harness I have doesn’t.

Not sure, did you find them on the wiring diagram or are they not there at all? Based on my experience I wouldn't think a PO would use connectors and would just tape the new wires on :LOL:if someone was going to install some security thing it'd probably be up under the dash I would think, does something point to non-OEM for this to you?
