Yesterday finally officially wrapped up RMS on wife's Jeep by putting in new oil and checking that it starts up (with some battery terminal issues...)

Today finally found that ghost 15mm and retrieved it with a magnet tipped fish rod! What a pain it all was

Installed a Sony XAV-AX4000 receiver along with the Sirius tuner. Went pretty smooth. I went with the 4000 instead of the 3200. After the price increase they are within $50 of each other and the 4000 has a few more features. It will do wireless Android Auto.

Decided to swap out the speaker pod lights for some warm LEDs, noticed one was a little caked with mud. Took the assembly out but got hit in the face with a long-dead mud dauber's nest. All in all, pretty happy with the LEDs, though.

I'm thinking about swapping out mine for LEDs, but DO NOT want the cool white ones.

Been a while but I thought the plastic console itself was held on by a few screws inside the vehicle.

Depends on the console, but there's screws under ALL the cup holders.

Please get or install some door surrounds - otherwise you can expect the welds on the window frame will break and rust... OEM manual will tell you the same to always run surrounds without the hardtop.

Hmmmm....maybe that's what happened to Tessie's door. The driver's door on my LJ has cracks and rust where the window frame meets the inner door skin, passenger's door is oddly fine (well, not cracked anyway). I just figured somebody tweaked it at some point over the last 20 years.

I went with the Everbright 44MM Warm White 12V. Very happy with the color. They came six to a box, so I figure I've got spares for a while if they glitch out. hahaha I've never had the dome covers ever since I bought the Jeep, but I found some new ones on MoparPartsGiant. Paid about $65 for the pair which seems criminal, but hoping it'll stop wasps from trying to make it their home.

Ordered a new stereo from Crutchfield, and lucked out with a sound ordinance powered sub that was scratch and dent for 99 bucks. will be installing this weekend.

I love Crutchfield's scratch and dent selection. Snagged a Pioneer MVH-MS310BT marine unit for $75. I don't bother locking the doors, I'd rather they steal the radio than cut my top. I'll just buy another one.

Hopefully they figure out the doors are unlocked instead of just assuming they are and cutting the top.
