New Tool Day

Are they doing all the bending? If so and you don't mind me asking, curious their pricing for what the bends ran you. I've been curious about taking advantage of their bending service but haven't had the use-case yet...
Yes, they are. I don't yet have a pan and box brake in the shop, but it's on the short list. That piece, cut, bent and delivered was about $36, before tax, and with that handy-dandy coupon code you told me about. Their bending prices are very reasonable. If you do have things bent by them, be sure to look for the K value and bend radius on SendCutSend's material page for the material you'll be using. Using those values has been incredibly accurate for me.

That's a great deal! Glad to turn you onto the discount - just used it on my build for a fairly simple part.

Great tip on the K value and radius! Thanks!

New garage knife.

I Picked up this well used benchmade super cheap, the action was all gritty and had a number of stripped screws. I don’t think it had ever been cleaned or properly sharpened.

An hour later, some cleaning, lube and sharpening. This will “drop shut” , shaves like a razor and Benchmade is sending me screw kit for free.

Your ahead of me!!!!!!!

Some things just transferred over from my old box. I need to get some more of those blue Ernst wrench racks so I can finish the drawer with ratcheting wrenches. Also need to figure out how to set up my pliers drawer. I had some of those wire racks that I had to cut down to fit in the other box. They seemed to work well for me so I’m thinking of just getting some longer versions of those.

I came across this site, https://www.sjworganizers.com , and decided to try a few of his ratchet organizers. https://www.sjworganizers.com/products/ratchet-organizer?variant=40821121548373 If they work well, I’ll order the rest of what I need at some point.

What is that in the last photo under the hammers that looks like a bonding locknut for conduit?

That's what it is. It's the perfect size for hammering on trailer axle nut dust covers without beating them to hell. Fits right on the lip of the dust cover. :)

That Alabama humidity does a number on tools…

That and some of my sockets, vice grips, wrenches....... well 90% of my tools are over 10 years old and most are 20 to 50 years old.

If they are working I'm keeping them. Now my mac tool pliers are 10 years old, the surface rust on them was from hauling them around in a tool bag in the back of Jeeps

Looks great.

I love organizing stuff. LOL

I got mine moved into its spot the other day. Still throwing out junk that I’ve kept for some reason.

I still have an old Napa roll chest and top box to go through plus a single drawer roll cart.... probably end up building a couple of storage boxes for all the left over tools, sockets, and what nots. I can't for the life of me throw good tools away.

I have 4 50 cal ammo boxes full of sockets, and 2 full of wrenches.

Lord I'm a tool whore...... 🤣🤣
