I’m getting ready to pull the plug and buy me some 15” tires for my 2.5” lift. Will be getting the wheels soon. Went from a 4” to 2.5” in January and still running the 17s the PO put on.

Is the recommendation still 31x10.5/15 for that size lift? That’s what extreme terrain told me but wanted to verify.

31-10.50 x 15 will be fine with that lift.

31x10.50 tires will fit on a TJ with no lift and still have plenty of room. This is mine when before I lifted it with 31x10.50x15 tires. The stock Rubicon TJ's came with 245/75/16 tires when converted are 30.5x9.6.

I would recommend keeping the 17" wheels though; 15" tires are almost obsolete. You will have much better tire choices with 17" wheels.

Unpacked several boxes with new parts in them that arrived today. Now just waiting on the Jeep to get back from fixing the ARB air line inside the diff and having PSC hydro assist kit put on. Hopefully I get it back this week so I can get these parts on for next weekends ride at Hollerwood, KY, well at least the doors, cargo rack, and steering wheel.

Not Pictured:

Anyone who has installed the NRG hub and wheel care to send me a picture of how they wired the horn button to the clock spring?

I thought about it but I just like the look of TJs with 15s better. I’ve ran the 17s for 13 years so looking to change it up. The tires I’m getting have a 31 or 32 so not sure which to go with. Price difference is around $30 per tire

Now get yourself some of the Eastwood coating that has the long tubes for inside the frame (if you haven't already). Any coating put on before the welding would have burned off during welding.

I will definitely do that. The guys did a good job and they said they treated it with something, but I don't remember what they said it was. I spent 3k getting it all done, I want to make sure it last.

I'll have to look and see if I took any pictures of the horn wiring or not.
Be later today.

Thank ya sir!

Not sure how much this will help.

Come up thru the base piece that goes onto the steering column. I had to change one of the connectors.

And then connect it to the part for your removeable steering wheel.

These are the only pictures I took but when you start to install it if you still have questions I'm sure I can talk you through it.

Looks simple. I didn't get the quick release so I'm just mounting the wheel to the hub.
