What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed a banks monster exhaust this past weekend and dialed in my cam angle with a thinkdiag2. Still trying to deal with a misfire that has come and gone, seems to be present when at low rpm and hot engine temp. Then it randomly went away lol. Maybe the PCM needs a few miles to adjust to a new coil?

I’m no expert or even mediocre mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, but I’d keep a close eye on your oil pressure.

Oil pressure is fine. 13 psi at idle is what it should be on older (pre 03" I believe) Jeeps that don't have the "dummy" gauge.

Brought my tj to shop today to have 02 sensors replaced with ngk. I could have done this myself ,but needed other things checked out . Was told that it was the cleanest and rust free jeep he has ever seen.. now going to be in need of a fuel pump. Pressure leaks off.

I’m going to be picking up some Penetrol tomorrow so I can make my hardtop look better. It’s going to be a nice week weather wise here in Alabama so I’m taking advantage of it.

I scrubbed my hardtop with magic erasers and gave it a bath afterward. But why was it so nasty. Goodness. These are what my magic erasers looked like after cleaning one side of my hardtop. I used two magic erasers.

Well damn, I remember when the CosMos in Richardson opened, I was in line with my TJ blasting the AC... the temp got up past 220 and I shut it down... I sat there for over an hour in 115* weather.... it was killer...

I might look into it since my temps usually sit around 205-210, but idling even in the heat we have currently (Like high 70s) it will creep past 220 until I start moving again.

When I'm stopped in traffic during 110+ summer temps, I bring the engine up to around 1200-1500 RPM. The faster engine speed turns the cooling fan, water pump, and AC compressor faster, so the AC works better and the coolant temps stay lower. I do this with the TJ and also with my other daily driver.

A common driving practice in the 60's and 70's ! Good job ! You pay attention to what your vehicle needs .

I finally get a day to myself, been working 6 (and sometimes 7 days) a week the last month and a bit…. So I’m off to ‘ The Beach Hop’ this Saturday. ( this is a massive hot rod and classic car show that takes over a small surf town)
I go every year and I’m really looking forward to it.
So in prep I gave my TJ a bath and will do the usual fluid checks before I head out in a couple days….

I used magic erasers on my TJ once and my Jeep disappeared !! 😂

Is that your house?? This looks like a scene from an old Western movie

Lol! No, that's my "man-cave". We have a house on acreage in Northern NV but I leave the house to the girls. My man-cave is insulated, has heating, cooling, computer, TV, fridge and an easy chair. I'm retired so just a place for me to hang out.

I try to do this, but sometimes the lights around here will be red for too damn long, then a short green and the dude at the front is too busy picking their nose with their phone to realize they need to get moving.

Ive shut my jeep off on occasion due to how shiet the traffic can get around here. :ROFLMAO:
