tl;dr: frustrated, are 5166490AB and 52059662AC interchangeable?

I've done what I believe to be an exhaustive search of the entire internet (and this forum) trying to find an answer to this question. Forgive me if it's been asked and answered a hundred times, but I'm still relatively new here, and I feel like I've done my due diligence! haha

One of the plastic clip holders on my Gearshift Lever Boot Bezel (bag style not rubber accordion, 2006 Six-Speed) snapped off long ago. The part number molded into it is 52059662AC, which results in a big fat nothing when searching for it on any parts site or eBay. What I do see is 5166490AB for the 05-06 (discontinued on mopar's site). The only one I'm currently seeing anywhere is on ebay from Poland. I purchased it, and spent $108 and have to wait a month to see if it's even interchangeable with the broken one I've got.

Has anyone been through this particular misery that can tell me there's a light at the end of the tunnel?

5166490AB and 52059662AC aren't explicitly listed as interchangeable, but many online have had success using parts from similar models or years. It’s known that Chrysler often uses the same parts with minor revisions over the years. That being said, while I know this isn't an answer, I would sure as heck give it a try.

I have an 06 LJ stick. I put a used Tuffy Center Console in from an automatic, so I had to do some fab work and made a plate to hold the boot. I retro fitted the earlier accordion rubber boot. I may still have the bag/trim for the shifter in the shop.

I did see this one while scouring ebay for closed items, but I also noted some damage to the one of the bits that holds the clips. Hope whoever bought it was aware of this beforehand, or maybe the clip still fits on fine for them!

I've actually been looking at the Tuffy center console, myself. My X lacks the subwoofer, and I just purchased the Soundstream Picasso Nano 5-channel amp along with the Taboo Customs mounting plate. Did you go with the subwoofer option, and how do you like it?

My LJ had the factory sub in the factory console. The $100 used Tuffy I bought did not have provisions for the Sub so I deleted it. For the price I wasnt picky. I love the add'l space. I can fit a decent sized kit with tool rolls, stacked in there. I put a couple rivnuts in and mounted it down securely.

I made a flat top plate for the shifter bezel from some 12ga. Took some trials. But I am using the 6 spd with the earlier rubber accodion boot and trim ring.

That's my plan! Just gotta wait until my package gets from Poland to Central Florida. :cautious:

An update for whomever cares about this. I received an email telling me that my part was delayed in manufacturing. I thought I was purchasing an existing physical part, but I guess it's coming from these guys. Apparently they're 3D printing this bezel to order.

Laser Sintering With Polymer Powder, not your standard desktop 3D printer. Very interested to see how it turns out. And if it will actually fit. hahaha

It actually broke on me while trying to put it in. Octoprint refunded my money and I chucked it in the bin. @chili_pepper is actually working on a stronger fix you might be interested in. Tagging him in on this one. There's a few of us interested, since clean used ones are hard to come by these days.

We're shooting for a reasonable facsimile. I'd be happy to add you to the DM if you'd like to follow progress, @tj2005$.
