Downsize to 33’s: Considering reverting back to stock fenders from Metalcloak arched soon after

So, for a couple reasons, including a pending tire downsize - considering going back to stock fenders with rubicon width flares front and rear.

1. Tires: Going to be downsizing to 285/75/16 (Falkens, coopers or BFG KO3’s) from our 315’s.
We’ll keep the lift/ longarm suspension as-is since it works well for us so far, BUT we think stock fenders and flares would help the 33’s not look so tiny.
  • Anyone have pics of 5.5” on 33’s with stock fenders and flares?

2. Weight: we’re committed to lightening this rig based on how we think we’ll be using it and maximizing the payload capacity.

Anyone know how much weight MC fenders add front and rear?

I think we’ll definitely buy our tires first, and see how everything looks before we change it up, but maybe someone can chime in with their back to stock experience?

4in sl 1in body with mce fenders and 285s
 
4 inch lift PO had worn out 35s, went to Mickey Thompson 33s (15 x 10) and i am very happy with on and off road performance. We have the smallest tires in our group, but most have JK or JL and a few gladiators all with bigger wheels. Ain’t about the show it’s the go!
