This is why I hate NSG transmissions

Man that sux!

May just part out my old TJ and keep the AX 15.
Has like 80k miles on it. If the NSG goes out swap in the 5 speed.

Or just do the Hemi conversion I’ve been dreaming of and run with the 5 speed auto.

Cps is a different location
 
Contacted high impact, they had me call, and he was hemming and hawing about not using atf instead of mtl, and maybe the shift tower might be some of the issues… so I will see where this goes.
 
Now this is transmission #4, installed and drive 2.5 miles, would not shift correctly, using redline mtl

As I understand the situation, you've had multiple transmissions (more than one from High Impact?), and poor shifting was a common issue with them. Has the shift tower been ruled out as the cause?

And, man do I feel for you. I had a similar problem with engines (the OEM blew spark plugs out of the head, and it's had 3 or 4 replacements in a short timeframe) in my Expedition a few years ago, and changing an engine in that is not a quick job.

Are you considering another transmission or do you want to make this one work? This is #4 but one was just an extra core, so really third try? Is it because they will only send you new ones vs. refunding you?

I have a 727 I would rather install, but this was supposed to be a repair not mod at this time

Understandable. Significantly different scope between the two. I hope the warranty goes smooth for you. Going through something similar and it feels like pulling teeth.
 
Another D/C compilation of junk. At least its better than the Puk'geo in early YJ's....or is it? Be proud of your diligence if wasn't for you all the American aftermarket industry would collapse. :)

They take your money with the click of a button. Getting it back is not so easy. Makes you wonder.

Also makes you wonder how much interest they are earning on your money in those 7-10 days it takes when they finally do refund it.
