Re-gear now, lockers later

Yeah I could see that. It is anyways on 35s it looks like. It's a pretty intimidating trail, it's even pretty scary in the passenger seat

The only part that scared me (and still makes me nervous thinking about it) was the short decent into the base of Chewy. The rest requires a lot of attention.

It might be scarier not being in control. But there was one point at the final hill climb before the summit(?) where you begin in the sandy trails out, where we were on 2 tires rocking back and forth I think.

Axle hill seems to be the one that changes the most every year and it’d be my concern for a rig on 33’s.

That is precisely why you need lockers. LSDs do no good in those scenarios!

We did a bunch on winching on that. None of us could get enough traction to reach the first step before the hard right turn.

It seems to wear the most every year. Getting grooved and not in a beneficial way. I’ve never winched it.

The first year, I was first up, it took me a while to find the right line and then Bob drives right up first try.

I remember watching that after. Wheelbase may have kept yours out of the four tire scoops. Mine kept sliding into all four of them at the same time and never climbing out.

Yeah that looks about as scary as I remember it

Bob had a TJ in that vid. The key to Pritchett is experience. Knowing the lines changes it dramatically.

None of the four of us had run it before and there was no one else there the entire long day to follow. 🤣

The first year neither did we after Chewy when Jeff had to turn around and drag a jeep out. So I know how you feel.

Been much easier since.
