Drove up to Syracuse NY from Marietta, GA to take care of family after surgery. It has snowed every day since we got here. There is about 2' on the ground now, with 4-5' drifts. Every other vehicle in this city is a pickup truck with a plow and it seems like they run 7x24. Drove the Grand Cherokee, so no problems getting around, but man, that's a lotta snow~!

Hoping we do not get snow come Thursday... They are speculating 3-6" of snow (More like ice) and everyone will be shutdown, except all the idiots who have never driven in snow or icy conditions still trying to go 90+ in a 65..... leading to another February 11th 2021 I-35 pile up all over again.....

Though it would be nice to have a February 201 all over again with 12.5" of powdery snow covering everything.

Swapped out my 9 yr old chinesium LED headlights for new chinesium LED headlights.

Between the two of them, this puts me at 17% of the cost of a set of JW Speaker headlights, so I can’t be upset.

The photos I took are not local to me either…. 2.5 days of solid driving plus a 3 hour car ferry. …. But worth every cent of gas I threw into the Jeep for those views

And I totally forgot that it snowed last year.... I was still doing field travel for my company, I think around that time I was up in OKC taking care of some of our clients.

Should have taken some photos of my Jeep when I stopped in Turner Falls each time.

Well…finally made some progress. I tried to crush pinion sleeve with jacks, bars and what not with no avail. Today was a success! Got her in spec.

I got a 3/4 drive Milwaukee , great tool. has 4 settings, started with setting 1 ended at 3. I marked pinion threads and nut with white out to keep track of progress. Using cheesy torque wrench after each hit. I took photos of reading to see better on I pad, went back and hit it a few more times to get to 1 newton. I then Did a trial run installing locker, next adventure, again on stands and pinion angle and not mention sore tiered hands.
Tomorrow is another day.

Kinda ominous here in Cali, and now my diff is stuck cant get it out….yet. Too tight 0 backlash. Any ideas? Will not pry out. We have not gotten any bug out notice as of now. The smoke is fron Altadena fire Burbank is south west from there.

I wish some of that snow would come a little further south. I'm not that far away. I feel we're in a snow drought this year

My Chinalights are still going strong too. It's been over 5 years. I have nearly $90 total invested in headlights and driving lights. Love them for offroad night driving.

It’s seams to be dying down a bit, massive air attack in progress. We have the Toyota to bug out if have to. It would be a bummer to leave the TJ behind.

Looks like a torched CJ, Luckily I purchased my rig as is at a reasonable price. The Dana 35 rebuild (if call it that?) is my first major investment cost added thus far next to cosmetics, fluids etc… and more TOOLS!
