What did you do to your TJ today?

Fears are probably unfounded.
Dude that put my window in had a broken hip and a broken foot. 50 years old or so and years of experience. Best of all……he was a Jeep owner and lover. He put a lot of care into getting it right. I’ve heard stories of extra wind noise and such so I as a bit paranoid 🤫🤨

Drove 70 miles with no leaks. On the return trip the leak returned. Swapping out the old T-Case with a known low miles T-Case thinking it's the input gear on the T-Case.
Both out of an 06 LJ. No idea why the number changed.

Well…finally made some progress. I tried to crush pinion sleeve with jacks, bars and what not with no avail. Today was a success! Got her in spec.

I got a 3/4 drive Milwaukee , great tool. has 4 settings, started with setting 1 ended at 3. I marked pinion threads and nut with white out to keep track of progress. Using cheesy torque wrench after each hit. I took photos of reading to see better on I pad, went back and hit it a few more times to get to 1 newton. I then Did a trial run installing locker, next adventure, again on stands and pinion angle and not mention sore tiered hands.
Tomorrow is another day.

Did an oil change yesterday and while under there I did a nut and bolt check, found the front lower control arms loose on the frame side and the driver side was so loose I can see between the bolt and frame. All other bolts were tight. Then I fixed my exhaust rattle that has been bothering me. Next up is to mount the front driving lights and some chase lights. Need to get it in order for when I head out to JV for KOH next month
