4” fog light options?

Well to your point I don’t think their marketing department is advancing that idea, but compare the OEM Hellas I have to the 550 series I have owned to these units I would say there is different tiers. Might be why the only way you see these units is eBay shipped from India…they prefer not to import these??

You may have a point. Perhaps they're made for the Indian market with lower price point/ quality level.

So I was going to paint/restore my factory Fog lights, but dropped one and cracked the housing. Started looking for replacement OEM, and said no way, (people are crazy, and not too happy with the light output on them anyway). I ended up purchasing these.

Smaller than Factory. Here is a couple of pics for comparison. Factory is on the left.

I used the factory plug to wire it in. No issues with the install. Just figure I'd share for others. I aimed them on the low side. (It looks longer out in the picture though).

Not bad for 15$.

Looks like the light that I can run on my 18v battery. If so, plenty bright I bet and for a good price!👍

But I do get hung up on these advertisements putting fog and flood into the same description- as those are fine spots but they are not fog lights.

Not to mention that they are ALL 6000 to 6500 Kelvin color temp, bright white with that damned blue tint to them. I had two sets of them on the Muddog, a pair of spots and a 12" LED bar. I couldn't see shit with them. I replaced them with halogens and can see everything in front of me.

They are more spot than flood, admittingly. (I still feel that fog lights should be mounted lower on a vehicle for best function).

I am annoyed with the blue lights also, and am happy that these aren't blue. If you look in my 1st picture, you can see test wires I used at first. If they were blue, I would have returned them.

I had concerns about going halogen, as I didn't want the excess draw on the factory wiring system.

I had normally almost never turned on my fog lights. They were unimpressively dull compared to my headlights. Leading up to dusk, I would have them on without headlights, just for the look. Last night I drove with regular lights on, and fog lights with the headlights. Huge difference.

There was/is another thread on this forum about substitution for factory fog lights without using LED's. The thread went to LED's anyway, but didn't want to post this up on that thread. Honestly, for the money, this was just the easiest and most cost effective way for me to go.

Those chinese lights always look wrong to me. Maybe they've made some upgrades, I don't know.
As for overloading the factory wiring, it was designed for 55 watt halogens, so unless you install 100 watt bulbs, you'd be fine.

You are correct. They advertise them fog and flood light to fool and attract the uninitiated. There's no such thing as fog/flood.
