What did you do to your TJ today?

Nope, didn't test me for the flu either.

It is what it is. I have had covid 2 times and the real flu once before.

This is like the flu, joint pains, run a fever multiple times, snapping every bodies head off.
Get well soon mate ..

Hahaa I didn't know chopping and smacking sht. With a hammer was craftsmanship 😆
wait till ya see the finished product though😁! Just don't know if I should paint the axle a gray/silver color from seymour(316I Stainless steel paint) and my diff cover a textured black....

I like ducks,Just hate picking them up when they come flying out when I'm doing donuts or when im off camber when wheeling.....so no ducks for me🤫 I only got 1 that's been a trooper trough all my Shenanigans lol,That being a cow print duck that's somewhere in the interior of my jeep😆
Quick story about ducks …
On my last trip to the South Island I was waiting in the queue for the ferry and heard an American tourist saying she liked my Jeep and she wished she had a duck to give me…..😬
Lucky for me she didn’t have one so dodged a bullet 😂
I’m grateful people in New Zealand don’t do the duck thing.

Ok here's the update on the Hillbillies Walking Dead!!!!!

My wife and father both have the same crap now!!!!!

I didn't sleep worth a flip last night but had really dozed off good at 7am.

Heard a boom and the power went off. This was at 8am.

Get up and dressed walk through the house, looking out the windows and see the tree down at the end of the house.

Snapped the power and phone lines and so I am out taking pictures while the wife is on the phone with the power company.

Finally at 1:30 we have power and Internet restored, but no land line ........ guess we will have to call them tomorrow.

Also we are all going to our primary physician tomorrow!!!!!

Windy last night?

Wait, you still have a land line? WTH!

It could have been worse.

Yes it was, down towards @AndyG way they had storms and possibly a tornado.

We just had rain and wind.
Part of the group I ride with was at Windrock this weekend. They said it got pretty hairy down that way.

Bolted on the winch but not the wiring yet. The holes in the bumper will get some sort of running light in the future and my battery terminals are starting to get a little "rat nesty". Been thinking something like the Jeep Cables.com TJ Big 7 Kit. Is there a better type kit that can be used for the winch cables plus other add-ons that will look good & professional?

What do you currently have going on? Putting things together in conduit can make it look pretty OEM

^ Right now have a sub woofer cable connected to the battery posts and planning to add daytime running lights in the future. It is clean looking now. If I add the winch cables to the posts it is getting to be a little too much. What I'm kind of looking for is a type of quality "terminal block" that is bolted on where you can make connections taking the mess off the top of the battery terminals. I'll search around Amazon, E bay & such and see what I can find.

My suggestion is to forget "kits" and have what you need custom made - it was cheaper, at least at the time. I used https://www.batterycablesusa.com/ but there are others. I upgraded the main battery wiring to #2, and had my winch cables made at the same time. YMMV and all that.

For the primary wires, hot and ground, I used the Big 7 kit. It was complete, well made with everything labeled. The kit comes with military battery clamps so getting things organized is easier. I tried going the DIY route for accessories but ultimately used the Auxbeam control unit and switch panel. Lots of options for that. I found all the wiring and relays more than laborious. Also added a Painless Performance CirKit Boss for additional fused feeds. It has four switched and three constant hot fused circuits. Cable sheaths make it all look neat.

Installed and wired my Lux rock lights (8) to the AuxBeam switch panel. These are super bright, the pictures it is still light outside. Hardest part was getting them in a spot that would be effective light output and a place where they wouldn't get destroyed.

My Lux kit is still in the mail. I am replacing a cheap Chinesium set installed by the PO. They are positioned well but worthlessly dim. You didn't position any in the wheel wells? Can I ask where exactly you put them? You used the eight light kit?

Santa loves Jeeps... Christmas presents he left for me. Ducks, rubber & stuffed, + toy Jeep from my 3 grand kids. Winch from wife. Hood support from son. H & R springs, jack stands & the Energy things from the real Santa = me.

Be REALLY careful when you drill the holes for the hood support. The thin metal in the underside hood support grabs the drill bit. I was lucky it didn't drill straight through the hood skin, but I do have a nice dimple in the hood that rewards me daily for my stupidity. Use a drill bit collar and make sure it is tight.

PS - That's a lot of ducks.

Welp batteries died for my Sawzall gonna call it a night, almost Chopped off the driver side perch, control arm mounts for both sides

Now the thinking begins.....which may offend many....Is me putting a truss on NOW HOLD ON......it's a "low profile truss"....So its not too offensive per say 😆 and it doesn't sit level with the center housing! It's sits below the center housing/pumpkin or whatever you like to call it🙃
Again I'm on 31s and I don't think I'm too hard on my rig apart from me having to bump up stuff with a bit of speed cause I'm on smaller tires that arent too grippy which leads me to want a truss.....plus it looks kinda cool (I'm coping alright 😆)

Plus I shouldn't loose much uptravel with the axle truss,if anything my DS will end up smacking my ARH header first due to the pinion going up with this HP30

Edit- this isn't my axle,it's a picture from "ruff stuff specialties" website⬇️

See how the truss isn't level with the housing unlike the artec⬇️

I'm already here so I may end up welding a truss on to give me that extra peace in mind, and If i somehow bend this axle even with a truss that's what my Hp44 from a 78' Ford is for 😉
But that's for a later time
mmmm.. those welds...

Is that yours? Who makes the griddle? I have been looking at single cast iron griddles for the Coleman but trying to avoid the weight and extra care the CI needs. Got a link?

I replaced the two year old Optima Yellow Top under warranty. Gave me zero notice that it was failing. 9F = instant mortality. Took the time to clean up some aux wires. Took a Christmas road trip up to Rhode Island (last weekend) for a pre-Christmas gift to myself. A set of five 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic II Beads with two full sets of rings (one set polished and the other powder coated black) and all the necessary bolts. Replacing the 15x10 ProComp 69's. They will be the '24 - '25 winter project. Holy Grail wheels for me.. Not sure if I will replace the tires or transfer over the Falkens. A bit concerned they will balance properly so a set of Centramatics might need to be added.. fingers crossed.
