I owned a CJ from 1992 to 1996 and now I finally own a Jeep again. It is a 2004 TJ. I always dreamed of re-gearing and installing lockers in my CJ and that is exactly what I am going to do to this TJ.

It came with the lights, the bulbs in the stock foglights were burnt out, so they installed those crappy harbor freight lights, I assume.

Lockers, gears and axle shafts have arrived! They are going in before anything else, not the normal progression of mods, but thats what I want.

Welcome to the forum. What gears did you go with, and what are your plans for the rig?

Looking forward to following what you do.

4.11s for now, currently has the factory 3.07s. For now, plans are a 1" body lift and "tummy tuck", SwayLOC & winch. When I need more ground clearance, I will go with a lift and bigger tires. And gearing of course, changing gears is not that big of a deal to me. Maybe beefier axles one day.

I should probably start a build thread, maybe I will progress to where you are, lol!

Woohoo! Awesome stuff there.

Lights before lockers is a joke around here. Last time we were in Moab there was a guy with us, good guy, and we kept seeing his light bar come on and then go off. He didn't know till he was more than 3/4 of the way through the Trifecta that every time he was going to flip the switch for the lockers he actually flipped the switch for the light bar. LOL.

LOL! literally! Now I am in the "know"! And this TJ did not fail to disappoint, another example of lights before lockers!

Clean looking tj!

Hey,if a couple lights are the only things the previous owners did then I'd be counting myself lucky.

Sounds like you have your priorities straight.gears, lockers, winch first! Are those 31's? Jeeps can get in plenty of trouble on those without losing mpg's and reliability going to large tires and lift.
