Flopping / Saggy Pavement Ends Sprint Top

Ive skimmed this forum for any insight on a flopping frameless soft top and tried everything to resolve a floppy soft top while driving with the windows down.

I purchased the top back in April of 2024, so its fairly new.

My 2 issues I have are crazy wind noise at speed with the windows up, and a load whip cracking sound when the top flaps into the middle bar/sound bar

The soft top is very tight over the rear seats and never have an issue there, but it is extremely loose over the front seats like the top is not installed properly, but if I tighten up the front area, the rear end gets all saggy and causes the rear window to droop and floppy.

Current things I have done in an attempt to resolve the 2 issue:

• New OEM Header Seal - Did not help with wind noise
• New Bestop Header Bar - Helped, but its still there at highway speeds
• Reinstalled the soft top multiple times - Never fixed it
• Fabricated a PVC bow, like they use to prevent rain pooling - ultimately worked until Texas heat turned the bow into a spaghetti noodle.

My current remedy to the issue is using an Alien Sunshade (Mainly to not have the towel fall and hit me while driving) with a beach towel jammed between the soundbar and the soft top. The issue with that is it shifts around due to how much the top can flap and eventually falls out.

I plan to get the Skid Row JP-0106 Top Prop as a hopeful silver bullet as Texas heat is killer on the PVC method.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Hermetically seal the Jeep and inflate the cab to 2-3 psi.

That works great when the doors are on and windows are rolled up. This only happens when I have them off or the windows are rolled down.

I can prevent it by holding the soft top up in the middle while driving, but thats not always safe...

Buy a better quality top. I never had those issues with my Bestop Trektop NX frameless.

Does your top have tabs that slip into the door surrounds? Even my Bestop will get all flappy if the sides are not secured into the surrounds…

Yeah, I always make sure to re-secure them after flipping the top back down. its easier to remember than locking the doors...

I was looking at pictures of my top vs it installed on other jeeps and the portion over the driver/passenger seems to sag atleast 1/2 to 1", but comparing to my neighbor who has an Trektop NX, theirs does not sag at all even without the cross bar in the door surrounds.

Ill have to set some money aside if I decide to swap to that top. Thought the Pavement ends held up to Bestops quality since its manufactured by the same company. Guess not...
