That's a cool side-by-side to run around in. ;) It's probably not as comfortable as the new ones, but she's probably a little more rugged.

I've seen videos of guys driving Jeeps like that through rocks, and that just looks like an ass whoopin'.

Ya don't choose that because of the amazing ride quality 😃

Be cool to know the history of that one. Its in pretty good shape.

@Squatch When are we getting this new-old Dodge? We're impatient internet people here, we can't wait long. :sneaky:

Waiting on the funds-transfer (5-7 business days). Seller has agreed to hold the vehicle for me, as he says it's obvious I'm serious, and that he doesn't believe I'll leave him hanging. He's right. ;)

Don't know if I mentioned this already, but he's received calls from as far away as Pennsylvania on the truck. He did have one guy show up and look at the rig, and he said the guy was just gushing over it. They talked extensively, agreed on a price, shook hands on it, etc. Well, he never heard from the guy again. The guy just ghosted the seller. When you consider that story, I have to say I'm surprised the seller was willing to work with me on it. I did offer to put a sizable deposit down on it, but he said that it wasn't necessary. Told me that as far as he was concerned, the truck is mine, and that he'd wait for me to get the funds (the transfer of which I initiated on Monday).

I still hate the thought of spending all that money. It equates to about a year and a half's worth of household bills (property tax, insurance, monthly bills...). But I know I can swing it, and in my mind, it's worth every dime. It's also likely the last truck I'll ever purchase (unless I buy a little half-ton to hotrod, or something).

 How did he have it listed? I've listed stuff on craigslist (years ago) and marketplace, and man, I hate dealing with the dumbasses, but you have to in order to find the one guy who is a serious buyer.

That's what holds me back every time. :sneaky:

This is also me when I get a new-old car. (this little dude dancing makes me happy  )

Two years into it...

Ugh. I've gone and done it now. I just committed to buying a low-mileage one of these. My 3/4-ton has around 420,000 miles on it, and I'd like to haul either a trailer, or a good-sized camper in the bed in the next couple of years. The one I'll be acquiring has well under 100,000 miles on it, and is a 1-ton dually. I'm as excited as hell about it, but also nervous about spending the coin. It looks like this ad, but also sports stainless steel wheel covers.

Drove a '91.5 (intercooled) W250 for 12 years. Getrag/Gutbag 5sp, 3.54LS, tweaked!

I saw it on Craigslist. I don't know if he had it listed elsewhere, or not. Entirely possible, as he also said that there was a guy from Minnesota that had contacted him about the truck.
