I can take that in one shot with my DSLR - without the fisheye effect. Just sayin' Can do pan shots as well.

No, no you can’t. The panoramic capability on the iPhone has no equivalent on an SLR.

Here is an example. It was taken in one shot on an iPhone shooting in pano. How would you take this shot on an SLR?

One of two ways: 1) Use my 11mm wide angle lens, or 2) Take two shots and stitch them together (seamlessly). Newer DSLRs than mine can also do panoramics with a kind of sweeping motion - probably similar to your iPhone. My little Sony in the above picture can do that too - although granted, it isn't a DSLR, its a EVF/range finder.

Best of all, no PHOOOOOONNE needed!

The pano mode is a fun thing to fool around with. You may have noticed based on your stitch together comment, but my beautiful wife Nina does not have a twin…

Not really. You've replaced a $200 point and shoot camera with a $1,000+ device that lasts 2 or 3 years, is NOT designed to hold easily as a camera, and this pix can be taken with a single shot with any DSLR. Best of all, I'm not inconvenienced by a PHOOOOOONNE!! :D ;) Bonus points for the backin! (y)

It is. I've done 360s with my little camera that has that feature, and I've also done it with stitch together multiples from my DSLR. I probably should get a modern DSLR - the camera and the necessary adapter for my older lenses would be right about the price of a smartphone - but would last decades longer. I wouldn't use a newer camera's advance features enough to justify the expense, but it *would* be a nice toy.

I want a giant ant for my front yard

He's got a lot of stuff, a bull on the garage roof, a miniature bicycle on top of the ramada and a liberty bell inside and some kind of critter with a curled tail at the top of the very tall pole (polecat?). And that's just what you can see from the street, never been inside the walled property.

That was a single shot and it only cost me $200
