2004 TJ Sport. On my journey to tons/40's I'm at an ugly duckling phase... I think... I have my rear 14b rear axle but that is it on the Tons phase. It will take a while to get the G/R TJ to LJ stretch, the other axle, 4 link Rear, 3 link Front, Coil overs, Wheels and tires. I just finished my tummy tuck, and just received the G/R highline fenders.

My dilemma is this... right now the Jeep looks pretty good, proportional... If I go ahead and install the fenders I'll be sitting with the 33's for maybe a year or two before I can complete the rest of the build. I would be able to get rid of the stupid 2" puck lift that the PO installed and be back on stock suspension... which I think is a bonus (do it right or not at all)... However I'm thinking she will look like a roller skate for the next 2 years with all that space between the tires and fenders...

Does anyone out there have pics of a TJ on 33's, stock suspension, with highline fenders?

if it drives ok would just keep it the way it is until you're ready to put it on 40's. if you remove the coil spacers the rear tires will rub when you hit a bump.

those rocker guards will chew up the body mounts if they ever get used. i would get rid of those first.

No, we try to do things right around here. 😉

Good looking Jeep!

Please explain

Stock height, 33's and hi lines would be a weird look. I would think you could do 33's pretty easily with flat fenders that aren't hi lines. Might need to keep the puck lift.

Or just be patient and wait. I know that's not so easy haha.

I'd love to put 33's on my stock DD TJ, but not going to mess with it because I would have to do gears too.

Flat fenders won't make a difference. 33s without any type of lift will always result in a reduction of up travel. It is physically unavoidable.

That isn't really how it works. Next time you are here, I'll show you a stock fender. When you see the cut out for the tire to move up into, it makes it a lot easier to understand.

If I keep warning you not to do that, I hope it sinks in. It is a never ending money pit. If you have never ending money, that's fine. If you don't, it isn't.

Maybe if you think of it as the self-inflicted version of "just the tip", that will help.

Maybe I could keep it stock height with a lot of cutting? ;)

Honestly, more of a thing I would like, but probably won't actually happen. I really don't NEED two project Jeeps...

Well i have a similar plans without the tons
Before anything im gonna do a 1.25" body lift install do a tummy tuck, Sye, Mml, ect,
i wanna rock some G/R Hi line fenders with their carbon hood but stock cut hood will do for the mean time
after installing the hi line's ill regear to 5.38's wich i already have in my parts stock pile along with a 35 spline ARB rear locker hp30 front
Slap the 33's while on stock suspension but refresh everything with good parts that are adjustable such as the C.A's,sway barlinks, possibly hydro bump stops, 1 ton steering and do a over the axle trackbar wich i plan on making some sort of mount on the frame side to account for the little lift i wanna run

And after all that i'll proceed to daily drive my LJ like always have :D

You may ask why i wanna run close to zero lift at most 3" if it hits the fan, well for ONE its my daily
TWO i wanna have a low center of gravity to not tip as easy on the trails and hell even on the street
THREE since i will run short arms for a good while i want to keep the C.A angles down and not steep for comfortability which kinda falls into the daily part
FOUR keeps driveline angles happier since im already gonna run a tummy tuck and that affects it, does help that i have a LJ but still
FIVE i like the low stance and big tire look especially if its a rig with wide axles.....to me it looks tough

If people dont like the plan too bad lol already seems so 😆
Still plan on doing so

I can agree i like the way it looks it does look proportional and should be functional and it should wheel pretty good especially with that tummy tuck that thing will be capable man :D
If you install the hi line fenders in theory you should clear upfront with stock height since thats what they're meant for, for big ole tires to clear for more uptravel or for guys like us to run no lift and bigger tires which is what i intend to do
To note i cant confidently speak for the rear though so theres that

Word on the street you gotta get a daily for the other daily;)

Can we play a game where we guess how old you are by what you write? I haven't viewed your profile but I'm going to put it right at 24? Am I close?

No sir 19 so you were close

High-school dropout at that, started working at a young age to help family, but since we're way better im now currently buying jeep parts since I want my jeep to be a rock crawler/daily

Edit- To add if yall don't like how I write go ahead and teach me, as well to add I was tired after work on little sleep so I was just rushing to finish my apparent mindless talk!
