Shifter bezel retention

I replaced the boot on the shifter today, and along with that project, I attempted to get the plastic bezel to stop popping out.

I replaced the little spring clips that hold it in place to no avail… the damned thing just won’t stay and flops all around.

Before I get creative with the adhesive and or fasteners, I figured I’d ask if anyone has any ideas?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problems, but where did you find the spring clips? I can't seem to find any that fit for me.

Actually, one of the spring clips in the set I found on Amazon worked for me! Your results may vary, but it's cheap enough that any of these may come in handy one day. Good luck, my friends.
