New Jeeper here. I picked up a 2004 TJ that has what I estimate to be a 3 - 3.5" body lift on it.

When I got it the upper shift boot was loose (no bezel holding it down) and the lower shift boot was pretty much destroyed.

I replaced the inner shift boot after reading here about the mustang shift boot solution https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/03-04-inner-shifter-boot-fix.46803/

Now when I put the bezel on with the new upper shift boot I can't get it in to 3rd gear as its hitting the bezel. figured I'd just shave the plastic, but after reading here that usually the problem is on the 2,4,R gears, and looking closer at the shift stick stalk it looks like PO must have done a little "engineering" on the stick stalk.

Now I'm wondering if I stock stick stalk might work for me, and or if anyone else has run into this and what options might be better.

This is what my stick stalk looks like now. You can see it was removed from the original location closer to the rear on the nut and repositioned on the front side, then must have been heated and creatively reshaped. There is plenty of space on the 2,4,R gears, but virtually none on the 1,3,5 gears. Anyone run into this and know if a stock stick stalk would work?
