So, I'll try to keep this short. Boiled the power steering fluid on a 12 hour drive, ordered a new PSC pump. Got the one for the 4.0 by mistake with the attached reservoir. I'd like to use it instead of swap it out, but the high pressure line doesn't fit, so I'm going to make some.

1. Will PTFE -6 AN line handle the pressure/can it be used for PS applications?

2. -6 feed and -8 return with a cooler sound right? Or go -8 both sides, or...?

3. How important is the idle switch that is inline on the 2.5L, can it be left off or worth adding a tee to keep it?

So I've determined that the switch is worth keeping, going hydraulic lines, just need to determine the right size now. Suggestions?

Not sure, it is too problematic generally so we use hose with matching field serviceable ends from PSC in -6.

No -8 on the pressure side, just the return through a cooler.

Important enough that it should be there.

Any chance you know what size threads that sensor has? I've been searching and can't seem to find it

I can check. I bought some tube x tube, by thread Tees that you weld or braze lines into so I could adapt that same pump onto the 4 banger. I believe they are 1/4" NPT but I will have to check. I also have a pressure line that will or should tell me.

Thanks, I saw that link you posted in another thread, but it had an assortment of thread sizes. Compiling a list of fittings I need, steering box is 16x1.5, also from you. All thats left is the steering box output, which I think is 18mm, and the pump high side, which is sitting in my garage and I can measure, I'm betting its 16mm as well.

The port size is 3/8-24 and it is an ORB or O-ring Boss which means there is a small chamfer at the port entry that an o-ring gets squished into to seal it. They are calling it -3.
