What opens first?
The correct question is which one is not effected by whatever fire will be going on at the time.

50 single zone which is a good size for me. My dometic was 75 dual zone and it was enormous, way too big. Keeping stuff frozen uses a lot of power so factor that in. I don’t miss the freezerThat and do you want a dual or single zone unit?
I've thought that having one larger as a fridge and a smaller one as a freezer might be the better choice.

Me tooI'd just like the idea of ice cream bars on the trail... No really good reason for the freezer other than that.

I did it once and it burned through all my power and I never used the freezer again lol.I'd just like the idea of ice cream bars on the trail... No really good reason for the freezer other than that.
I was looking at the 45 and the 55 they seam like a good size. If I go with one of these I don't want to carry a cooler so it needs to be big enough for food and Beer, Water and Sodas50 single zone which is a good size for me. I have a 1400 goal zero, one side fridge one side freezer and on a short weekend it burned through the whole battery (1.5days). I can easily get 7 days just in a fridge.I only have experience with the OLD 12V coolers. I had one that I used in my semi when I was driving long haul and then used it in my Samurai when I went camping. But they cooled 20-30* below whatever the outside them was.
This is where I'm at. I want it to replace the ice chest and not have to worry about it.
Will it kill a battery overnight? The freezer part? Or if you have a dual zone and have it set for both? And do the insulated covers help?
