My exhaust manifolds need to be replaced on my 05 LJ with the 4 O2 sensor setup.

Should I just go with the OEM setup of two exhaust manifolds or should I go with an exhaust header? Price appears to be nearly the same. Figure I should replace the cats while I'm there.

Any suggestion on what brand for the manifold or header and down pipes/cat?

Thanks!

I fixin to redo my whole exhaust system and I think I'm going to try one of the ehay torque tube style headers. Not sure if they make one for the 05s though. Then afe for the down pipe/catalytic converters.

A lot of money for a system with more potential for cracks with those headers and little gain in power. If you had a 7120 casting head, cnc ported, oversized throttle body, 5.7 hemi valves you might see the benefit of a header but a shorty is designed for high rpm where a long tube will keep the torque down low. Ymmv. Good luck

If your referring to the ones I posted, I'm not really chasing power. I've heard good reviews with these ones off of ebay but its a Banks Power design which also has good reviews.Mostly just wanting to change things up a bit just for fun and maybe a change in exhaust sound. As I mentioned in my previous post I'm also redoing the whole system all the way out the back with different muffler and tucking it up higher if possible.

My two cents, stay away from AFE. I bought one of their shorty headers leaked badly and #6 tube touched the intake. Took over a month to get a RMA # and I had to pay the return freight. Might look at RHS they make a long tube system for your year Jeep. Magnaflow makes a nice cat back.
