Yukon Gear vs. Revolution Gear for a 14-bolt

The pinion teeth by design are stronger than the ring gear teeth. If this is a debris failure, then there should be corresponding damage on the ring gear teeth.

No damage at all to the ring gear for that failure. Anxious to see what this one looks like when I get around to pulling it apart.

When you set up a shaved gear set, do you set the pattern on the ring gear in the middle drive side or the a 1/4" from the middle of the tooth?

I still center it up. This is the pattern from when I did this back in January:

Or maybe not.

Dammit. I still can't upload pictures to the sight. Gets up to 70-80% loaded and then hangs. Anyone else having trouble?

Yep, pictures are screwy today. Screenshots work.

Thanks Chris.

Thanks for letting me know. If people don't let me know these things when they happen it usually takes me a lot longer to figure it out on my own. In this case uploads worked fine on my desktop computer but not my phone.

It is hard to see where the wear mark ends on the pinion, but the wear marks look only part of the way on the pinion teeth.

Vs my old 4.10s. The teeth are shiny on almost 100%.
