Windshield washer spray nozzle upgrade

I got fed up with my OEM windshield washer spray nozzle. Even after putting in a new windshield washer pump, it sprayed a single stream of water that barely reached the bottom of the windshield and was useless for cleaning the windshield unless I was driving fast enough for wind to carry the windshield washer solution up onto the windshield. Replacing the spray nozzle with a new OEM equivalent made no difference. I looked for replacement nozzles that would fit the OEM hood opening, but could not find any. So, I bought a universal spray nozzle off Amazon that has two brass jets that can be independently aimed (see photos). The universal nozzle is smaller than the OEM nozzle and does not fit the hood opening. So, I installed it with two fender washers, painted black, to hold it in place and cover up all of the opening. It works great. I now get two strong streams of washer fluid that hit the windshield about halfway up and my wipers do a good job of cleaning the windshield.

Doesn’t look too bad at all

Check this out if you ever want to get rid of those washers on your paint

Thanks. I actually did not paint the fender washers. I sprayed them with Plasti Dip so that they have a rubberized coating. Hopefully that won't stick to the paint and do any damage if I ever remove the spray nozzle. However, I don't know why I'd ever want to remove it because it works so well.
