When my TJ was rebuilt from the ground up. The windshield washer reservoir was omitted. Everything is there but the reservoir. I can not find the wiring for the pump. Any ideas? . Plus they sent me this supposed OEM replacement reservoir. As you can see it is tiny.. Like something ypu would order off of wish, or TEMU..
The 03-06 washer reservoir lives next to the radiator overflow bottle. It holds about a gallon of liquid.
The teeny tiny bottle they gave you is a generic container that can and has been be used as a washer reservoir after it is drilled for the pump(s). One pump supplies the windshield and the other, if it exists on yours, is for the rear hardtop window. Each one originates from two different wiring harnesses on the left side. Look for one or two unused connectors each with a parallel run of black tubing for the water in the area of the front left corner.
What did this lazy shop do with your original bottle and pump(s)? They didn't finish rebuilding your Jeep from the ground up.
I actually prefer the aftermarket one. I removed my factory one and used the real estate to mount some air compressors. I moved the pump to the ABS tray next to the firewall.
I would contact the people who rebuilt it from the ground up and left out the windshield washer assembly that was stock on all Wranglers. They might as well left out the windshield since it is now useless during a rain or bug drive in the desert. That could be dangerous. Normally, they would at least fasten the parts to side of the engine bay if they feel it is getting in the way. https://www.google.com/search?q=tj+...gGQBgWSBwExoAfuAw&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp
