I like the way it becomes my fault if someone breaks into my car and steals a gun that was locked up. The criminal here is the person that broke into a car that did not belong to them and then take property that did not belong to them, let's stop making the owner of the car the criminal. If I have my gun locked up in some type of locked box and my car gets broken into and my gun stolen, I am going to report this to the police and most likely in CA I am going to get charged with sometime of crime for my gun being stolen. The criminal here is the guy that broke into my car and let's not forget that, and stop pushing the blame to car owner.

I do not disagree with you at all. In a perfect world the their would be the criminal, not the victim. CA, NY, IL, MA, VT are all states yhat seem to mix up who the criminal and the victim. Some states already have laws that make the gun owner responsible for the theft of their firearms.
It is a sad state of affairs today, but it seems as though the tide might be turning.

Yeah, that was what I was trying to point out in my post above. Lock your vehicle, same as locking your house, so why would / should you be held responsible for criminal actions resulting from breaking into your vehicle/dwelling and stealing your property, then committing another crime with your stolen possessions? How does this make you criminally liable?

Mine is on my person or in my backpack all the time(which is another concealed holster for me) i will not go into any business that has a "no gun" sign posted.

I don’t run the factory jack, but it would not have to be removed to install the Tuffy box - the one designed for the fold and tumble seat, that is. I have a first aid kit sitting in the factory jack mount.
I have a drivers side non tumble(long box)on the passenger side,I had to remove the jack mount to make it fit,I also ordered a set of drivers seat brackets for the passenger side.
I had looked for a non tumble bracket for the drivers side just so I could use the bigger box. IRC they were very expensive even fairly beat up.
I have to admit I have not looked in probably a year but find this one for $180.
