Wheel and tire recommendations

Do a search, lots of good info on here.

First question is what do you want to do with your Jeep ?
Drive to high school ? Off road, mtns or beach ?
Can spend lots of hard earned money on tires and wheels for not good reason if not careful.

My suggestion is to buy a nice set of JK/JL takeoffs with some good tread left for cheap (usually under 500 for a nice set) and use spacers.
Save your money for college or dating !! (or buying a good reliable car) D

I've had those wheels in matte black for 7 years with no complaints. Also owned two sets of those tires. Due to lack of driving I replace tires well before they are worn out so no clue about tire longevity

Its a drive to school offroad like once a month and beach occasionally jeep. I haven't been that lucky with marketplace as most of the wheel and tire combos that are out there are the stock ones and I want to switch it up a bit

Wheels and tires are a personal choice. I buy those Mickey Thompson MTZ tires whenever I can afford them. I have over 30,000 miles on my current set. I'm going with the charcoal Mammoth Boulder wheels when money permits. I had them on my old Sahara.

M Thompson MTZ 33x12.5x15 = $286 each or $1144 for (4) or $1430 for (5)
Mammoth Boulder wheels 15x8 = $128 each or $512 for (4) or $640 for (5)

Total $1656 for (4) or $2070 for (5) Wheels and tires not cheap.
Regear when go to 33 as well. Lift, shocks, etc etc. $$$

A set like this is great for what you want to do:

I have 33x10.5R15 KO2s on Cragar 342 D wheels, 15x8 with 4" backspacing (13mm offset). I like steelies cuz they are cheap - like near $100 for a set of 4.

But those Mammoth wheels look great.
