What's the difference between these spark plugs?

I ordered (6) of these Mopar spark plugs from the online Mopar Store .. for my 2006 Jeep Rubicon .. and (2) of the (6) seem slightly different. As you can see, there are slight differences:

Spark plug on Left:
Box part number: “1-SP000ZFR5N”
Part number on plug: “ZFR5N”

Spark plug on Right:
Box part number: “SP000ZFR5N-001”
Part number on plug: “NGK R”

Note: I did plug in my correct year and model on the Mopar site and this is what they sent me .. a mix of these.

Question: Are these the exact same?? If not, what’s the difference and which one should I use?

Thanks!

Good to know! However, since I have these now, would it be okay if I installed all (6) of them even though two of them are different manufacturers?

That's a you question.

Me personally I strive to run the same plugs in a vehicle. Makes things simpler. Especially with computers and everything.

And as expensive as Mopar is...for my money I'd want perfect.

At the very least make sure...if it's not a distributor based 4.0 like my 97...that you have the off pair on the same coil pair...since the coil based 4.0s are waste spark and fire a lot.

That being said I've run a lot of POS vehicles, mowers, tractors, go carts, pressure washers on absolutely crap plugs...couple swipes with a brass brush, check the gap, shove it in and go.

I 'm with MAC. sitting here pondering on this situation, I would send them back and get XP985's from the local store. I wouldn't risk there being some difference in them . but thats just me. I know my luck would be everyone would say they're the same and after it blew out my PCM or something else, we'd find out they aren't exactly the same !

I am inclined to say they are the same plug do you see a 3459 anywhere

No, I do not see a 3459 anywhere.

Most likely the same plugs. Remove the protector and compare electrodes.

Also, compare the numbers stamped into the metal part.

I dunno but with your 06 4.0 engine I would not run a conventional spark plug like the ZFR5N. Newer TJ 4.0 engines like yours and mine have what's called a "waste spark" ignition system that fires the spark plugs every revolution of the crank which is twice as often as a conventional ignition system does. That cuts a conventional spark plug's life in half.

Personally I'd run either a Champion 7412 or Autolite APP-985 which are dual-platinum tipped that will last 100k miles with a waste spark ignition system. Or what I run with my '04 TJ, the iridium-tipped Autolite XP-985 which will perform well for no less than 200k miles. I've been happily running the XP-985 for at least 15 years.
