Guessing he really didn't want opinions that didn't agree with him that him POS was really a $15K Jeep.

adding to the problem is that the market is bad in general, a few years ago vehicles of all varieties were going for big numbers because supply was very low & people still had money, no longer the case

except the new car market, those sob's are still pushing MSRP...can't wait for the collapse and they get their asses handed to them.

I would take pictures of the undercarriage and post them. The biggest problem with Jeeps are rust damage underneath. I see the bubbling on the panels, which isn't a good sign either. But, it really comes down to how bad the undercarriage looks. If the frame is rotted out, it is probably just a scrap vehicle. 2.5 liter engines aren't that great either. But, the big thing is underneath, like the frame. Post those pictures and you may get more accurate feedback.

I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler SE 2.5L 4 cylinder has original Jeep hardtop with sunroof, original Jeep mirrors, original Jeep rear bumper, 15 in Mickey Thompson Baja wheels, tires are crap. It has 96K original miles paint is rough, needs electrical work such as turn signals taillights but that's about it. The hood and fenders are from another Jeep due to a tree falling on the front end but that's it. You guys opinion is very appreciated. It's my very first one and it runs great pull great and is loads of fun.

$5k max

Was wondering when would be the best time to jump in this fracas;
but think I will just stay out, John seems to be handling it. D

and it is Sunday !!

Ah heck jump on in, seems the OP done figured out he really didn't want real advice, just confirmation that he had a $15K pile of crap.
