What do you know about the Brute?

Five 4 door JKUs, or JLU’s within 1/2 mile of my home. Between them they have probably 100 windshield ducks, some stacked 2 high. I drive by them in my low buck TJ and they turn their heads. Phque them all…,

Out here, there is a monthly jeep meet. I show up to be one of few old dogs. 2 TJs, a LJ, and the grandpa CJ.

The other 50+ are usually JKU, JLU, and JTs littered with trashy bodykits (I wont even call them fenders, flares, etc because its like entire batmobile packages) , angry grills, and a whole pond of ducks on the dash. Ill take a picture of the lifted angry jeep on 40s next time I see it to explain the atrocity they own.

They like to duck my stock TJ, that duck usually ends up in the rear waiting to be tossed into a bucket for the neighbors kids to play with.

Ill only ever keep important ducks in my TJ, one from my grandfather, one from my father, and one from a friend who lost his life at 18.

Not saying I hate ducks, I just dont care to have 100 of them on my dash bobbling around and spilling out the doors around a corner.

This guy doesn't live with any tiny freeloaders and it shows. 😂

True that, not even an SO. How else can I live with a 12MPG bathtub and not complain about putting over $200 into gas monthly?

My time will come, next thing I know ill own a minivan, have 3 kids, and wish I could spend money on my projects rather than bills.

Haha... I prefer two doors too. But I know it's because I'm a single dude 😂

Gotta admit I am a fan of the half-door suicide doors on my truck for a 2door guy

Guy down the street from me has a two door JK. Pretty impressive, not sure what engine he has in it. He has owned it since new.

JK-8. Offered from the Factory for a couple years.

Painting the frame red 🤮 I guess angry grills hadn't been invented yet

Curious how two vehicles get rolled over in a spot like that

I wondered the same thing. If i was betting it would be on the hemi having his foot down and hitting the other jeep as he came up the rise

I don't recall all the story but if my crappy memory recalls, that second vehicle flipped trying to get into position to recover the Brute.

I'm sure the thread is still over on the Forum that shall not be named. ;)

I will forever be a 2 door guy, ever since my first truck. 06 Silverado regular cab short box.

Only 4 doors Ive ever owned was a 02 tahoe for a short stint after totaling the silverado and a newer (I think 2017) chevy sonic for a short time before selling it to my sister when she got her drivers license.

My vehicle is to get me from point A to B no matter the route, not to haul the other people around :ROFLMAO:

Bored and necro cruising this forum....

I am 50 and have only owned 4 vehicles, because I tend to keep them. As it happens, 3 of them were two doors, the same three were manuals. I bought a 98' Subaru Outback off my folks when I lived in the NYC area cause I didn't want to care if someone smashed into it parked on the street. Also was our Home Depot vehicle while reno'ing our row house. Surprisingly, you can fit a sheet of plywood or drywall in the back with the door open. (the other two were my first, '86 Nissan pickup long bed, '94 Honda Civic coupe; the only new vehicle I've ever bought).

I'd love to own a Brute. I dream of someday turning my TJ or another TJ into a brute but with a flat bed or Bowen bed if I was flush. It is just me and my woman, so I don't need 4 doors. Also the smaller vehicle makes way more sense living in a major metro in terms of parking, but the bed would be so much more handy then the limited space in the TJ, even with the rear seats removed (since day 1 of owning it).
