Warn has halted all sales to e-commerce businesses, focusing solely on brick-and-mortar stores for now. This change will make it more difficult to buy Warn products.
Bold move. It might be more difficult in the short run, but maybe more retailers will sell Warn products. On the other hand, it may increase sales of other brands.
It’s primarily inside information. I'm not sure if Warn has announced this yet. This just happened within the past week. My buddy was trying to buy a winch from any of the top automotive distributors. We were on the phone with one of them, and they confirmed with us that they stopped e-commerce sales because they couldn’t push the order through.
It will be a problem with the distribution companies because they have a lot of inventory.

This is an old thread that was resurrected, but I see Warn winches available via e-commerce all over the place. Either it wasn’t true, or they changed their minds…
Yes, as of today, this thread is exactly one year old. I bought a Warn winch about six months ago from an online supplier. SURELY there couldn’t be a problem with misinformation from any source on the internet.. That could NEVER happen!
