Hey all. Hoping you guys can help!
My 2006 4.0 has an interesting issue.

When I am at a complete stop, and in drive, there is a significant vibration seemingly from the exhaust.

This only happens when in gear. When I put it in park, it smooths up. It’s uncanny.

It doesn’t always vibrate. It seems to happen more when it’s up to temp. I’d say about 80% of the time.
The other 20% it’s as smooth as can be;

Any thoughts?

Worthwhile considerations:
- There is a small exhaust leak I haven’t fixed yet.
- The catalytic converters have been replaced. This issue was there before and after they were replaced.

A loose joint can cause it, and you may be able to grab and shake the exhaust to see if you can tell if that's it.

Unless your a professional waiter, I'd let the exhaust cool before attempting.

Update:

Culprit was a shot transmission mount.
I assumed the vibration had to be exhaust- especially since it only happened when in drive. You know what happens when we assume!

New Anchor Mount from Rockauto- and she’s smooth as glass.
