I do and I could do that, but I wasn't sure what it and isn't ok to tap into I guess. Like I'm pretty sure brake lights work with the key off, but will it dim my brake
Except I don't have a fuse in 4 because I don't want to hear any chiming or have lights on when I open my doors I have a bad habit of leaving them open on the trail
I use my brake lights a lot when I'm driving what're you talking about I suppose the LEDs probably take a tiny amount of amps.
Yeah I am hoping the red desert has external outlets I doubt I will bother removing it and putting it every night if it doesn't.
I will poke around in the fuse box tomorrow with my probe light and see if I can find anything, more confident tapping into something with its tiny amp draw
Just straight wire it, no reason to even join an existing line unless you don't want to have an aux fuse block anyway. My radios, sub, etc all are through a small auxiliary fuse block for the main power and only ever tap an existing circuit for the switching input on a relay.

Most fridges shut down when battery voltage gets too low. My TJ doesn't properly charge my Optima Yellow Top because the charge voltage is too low. So as soon as my cheap Amazon fridge kicks in the battery drops to 11.7 and the fridge shuts down.
I bought a Jackery after watching @CMBD use his on the Rubicon.
The lockers on mine were tapped into a couple of fuses in the fuse box behind the glove box, they were constant power but I don't have a picture of which fuses were tapped. You can check around in there with a meter and find one to plug an add a circuit to.
The fog light fuse is 20a and unswitched. I don't have fogs right now and if I do get some ill get LEDs so I figured that was a good place to tap into. Thanks all
