Looking for some help here... just installed ten axle shafts with spicer u joints (came pre installed). I backed out of the driveway and i already have this noise/play in each shaft. This cant be normal can it? Again both sides are like this... I reached out to Ten just waiting to hear back.

I installed axles from Ten a few years ago, also with Spicer joints preinstalled. Mine have not made any noise, so I wouldn't say that yours are normal.

But it is very tough to see with that lighting and your hand in the way: Is the u-joint making that noise or could it be the wheel bearing unit?

It not wheel bearing play. The joint is moving up and down inside the caps ever so slightly.

That isnt right IMO. Id hit up the mfg or shop you got them from and let them know for starters. If it was a D/S Id be pressing the caps in further to make sure the retainer clips are seated correctly.

I'm just going to pull them out and return them. The spicers i put in my OEM shafts a couple months ago are still fine. I did this thinking it would solve another issue and it didnt..

Spicer u joints with full c clips. Just weird that both sides have play like that.

Sounds like 1 of 2 things is wrong. Either they lost the thrust bearings in the caps, or the yokes are machined wrong and since they set the final spacing for the joints, it could be they are too wide. Other things like stretching the yoke using a press to assemble shouldn't be discounted.
