Thanks, looks good.
Yesterday we installed most of the arms and greased the JJs. I was setting lengths and found the rear lowers were an inch too long, meaning I got the LJ arms. Called Gerald and he said ship them back and he'll cover shipping for the return and new set. All this on a Saturday/Sunday.
The front axle got installed, squared and centered and checked cleareances. The currie trackbar barely kisses the diff cover at full bump. The drag link was put in a press for a bend to clear the hydro. The tie rod was flipped with a different knuckle. Pulled everything back off and painted the axle.
Today for the front, we installed currie bumpstops, moved the ram assist bracket slightly, and cycled the axle more.
At this point, brakes are ready to go back on and everything torqued to spec for the front.
Only pictures from today. I had to get new hydraulic brake hose from an 03 TJ. The 97 hoses are crimped.

At this point, all thats left to do is...
-build the oil pan skid mount
-Torque the front to spec
-Install/cycle the rear axle
-Modify the frame side brake line
-Exhaust
So close. This has been 5 solid days of work.
The torque boxes, savvy body lift and body mounts will be done at a later date.
Sounds like an opportunity for a rear stretch!
Nice work.
Let's not get any cockamaney ideas in his head. He just needs to get that thing out of my garage![]()

My socioeconomic class is all wrong for those benefits.... that and the work van has a name, phone number and contactor ID in large block lettering on the side.
For 5$ i bet I could get a tweeker to grab it though
I found a pretty good muffler combo that fits well under a TJ with a midarm. It has a nice tone, and is not overly loud. Nice burble under decel, and doesn't drone. It also tucks up pretty nice as to not get hung up on rocks.
The converter is in its factory location and I shortened the pipe in between.
