Can anyone help me calculate my lift on my TJ. It's so weird, because my front spring measure 14 inches but the measurement from the center of the wheel to the fender is 22 inch.

The guy from Extreme Terrain told me I have a 2inch lift but ChatGPT (lol) is telling me that I have a 4.5 inch lift.

I'm buying an adjustable track bar and I need it to be accurate. I don't think I have any spacers or anything like that.

My rims are 15 inches and my tires are 33 inches.

Thank you,

Are we referring to lifts as the actual lift measurement after the weight on bumpers, winches, hardtops, spares, etc, or the the lift as purchased?

The actual spring lift is the measurement of the springs as the Jeep currently sits in the driveway with your usual stuff packed inside. This is also known as the ride height.

This is different from the advertised lift claimed by the manufacturer because they do not know how much your Jeep weighs.

Yep, that was kind of why I ask. When folks ask "hey, what lift is that jeep?" folks tend to say what they bought (like the OME 2.5 + 1.25" BL) instead of the actual. Not to mention factoring in the array of spring strengths.

I have my OME springs in the garage waiting to be installed in the spring, and they are the heavy ones due to my weighty ARM bumpers, winch, spare, and potential for mild towing. Might or might not even out with comparing the light springs on a complete stock TJR.

The spring measurements we frequently ask for get messy, especially for the rear because no one ever clarifies where on the angled upper spring seat to put the tape measure. 😉
